The ANTE digital only catalogue resurrects with its fifth outing of leftfield electronics. This time we present you another newcomer to the family named ∆☄O∆∆.

When asked how to pronounce such a mysterious name the answer comes back in Russian with an added explanation that we should just look at the name and visualize in our mind.

Bосток or Lake Vostok is source of inspiration for this five tracker. Opener 'Predator' is a nine and a half minute long excursion. A deceptively simple drum loop takes us along this sonic minefield full of reverbarating gongs and mallets stretched endlessly. Approach to Antarctica.

'Vostok' shimmers and glooms, shatters and shutters. Gaze into the abyss and tread towards it. Feeling the desolation and hostile surroundings.

Fumes exhaust from heavy machinery unceasingly. A monumental cavern of ice. No light enters. No escape. The work needs to be done. 'Brute'.Drilling in search of something.

When the chirpy arpeggio of 'Flat Circle' comes in you come to realize you have been on a non melodic trip for three tracks and twenty five minutes. Never you mind. The bowed strings will throw you back into the abyss in no time. Looking beyond, once they have cracked through.

∆☄O∆∆ has kept the dance floor treat for the end. 'Pole of Cold' is pure gold. That eerie hook, those carefully carelessly percussion, kick and hi hats. Pure cold. Finding something you didn't expect and trying to work out what it is and why it exists.
