After their well received 12" vinyl the three headed collective of Mørklys returns in digital format. Five tracks that set out the musical identity of these youngsters even more then was already the case on RASA02.
Elaborating further on the psychological theme from their 'Gestalt' EP, the 'Psychosis' mini-album starts off with the droning soundscape 'Thought Withdrawal' bound to send shiver down everyone's spine when played through a well engineered and subby sound system.
'Blocking' doesn't muck about and takes us to their core business: heavy kicks, harsh mechanical rhythmic elements and deceivingly careless sonical textures. All this clocks in just under twelve minutes without ever letting us go.
The deceivingly careless sonically textures take center stage in 'Loose Associations' with it's church bells and bird chirps that go in conversation with the metallic groove.
'Verbigeration' sounds like the next step of the 'Reprise' track that can be heard on RASA02. A thick groove, that rattle that moves from left to right and the grainy snare set the pace whilst the ambient drone sets the mood.
The more then eleven minutes long culmination of this mini-album defies genre boundaries. 'Flight of Ideas' has shimmery elements that collide with a deep drone. The both together are so hypnotic that making this track shorter seems a pointless effort. This might well be a comment on our instant satisfaction orientated society
